Sanoa Dempfle-Olin is a Canadian professional surfer from Tofino, British Columbia, known for her powerful, progressive surfing and strong backhand attack. Raised in one of Canada’s most iconic surf towns, she grew up surfing cold-water waves year-round and quickly rose through the national and international junior ranks. She broke onto the global stage through standout results on the World Surf League Qualifying Series, including multiple wins and podium finishes, ultimately earning qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where she became the first Canadian surfer to compete at the Olympics. Known for her precision rail work, competitive calmness, and ability to perform in heavy conditions like Teahupo’o, Sanoa represents the new generation of elite cold-water surfers pushing onto the world stage.
